Such a great project...Linda did an amazing job animating that dog. This time around our new script writer Alex Hendler whipped up a great little story for us to tell, and I'm super excited to share it with you all.
Definitely one of our favorites we've worked on this year...the usual team knocked this out of the park: Jen Zug on writing/creative director, Linda Spain animating, and myself illustrating and storyboarding. This was a great chance to play with color in a "side-scroller" animation. Wish the hot-air balloon survived the drafts though! :)
I have an epic story in mind...something I've been thinking about for a few years now. Not sure if it will translate into a graphic novel, comic book, animation pitch, etc., but in any case I do hope to push it further this year.
These are rough silhouettes of characters/people in the world. Nothing is set in stone yet.
Another great project I illustrated, storyboarded, and helped direct with Lilach Tfilin as animator and Jen Zug writing...very fun approach and a unique style. The clients were great to work with, and this has quickly become one of favorites!
Our client Experience came to us with the BroadCause project and a very open mind to creating this one minute animation; they always gave excellent feedback and were hand in hand with us during the production. This was the first of many projects to come working with Linda Spain, a superb animator in every way. She really brought this to life and added lots of subtle animations to make it special. Jen Zug doing the spot on writing as usual, and myself in the usual "art director" role as illustrator and storyboard artist.
This lovely gem of a project was one of my most enjoyable yet! The client was located in Israel, and they were a real great crew to bounce ideas and get feedback from. Our animator we worked with on this was also (coincidentally) located in Israel; her name is Lilach Tfilin, and was one of the most easy, talented, and creative animators I've worked with. She helped create our vision in the script/storyboard into a real clean and professional piece. As always, our creative director Jen Zug wrote this!
Here are some early conceptual designs of our "chap"; my wife Yas even helped on sketching some out! :)
Something coming very soon...I illustrated and storyboarded this for a client of ours at lilipip! and it's currently being animated. Very excited watching it come to life!
Another great client, fun project, and really simple but interesting art direction. Kontiki Enterprise Video Solutions; this was a really fun opportunity to work with Alex Budovsky, a really talented animator who's style of animation is very inspirational.
One of our latest works for Seattle based youth sports automation; Korrio! A great piece that I designed, storyboarded, and helped execute with the great animator Dan Johnson, a good friend and fellow Portland artist.
One of the nicest projects we've worked, and with a huge launch today: White Pages Hiya was extremely fun to be a part of. I got the amazing privaledge to work with Jen Zug as creative director and my good friend and animator James Sugrue.
